Seeq Customers Share Advanced Analytics Success Stories At ARC Industry Forum In Orlando

Presentations demonstrate how Seeq enables customers to get value from IIoT and process manufacturing data in the oil & gas and energy industries.

SEATTLE, January 30, 2019 – Seeq, a leading provider of advanced analytics software, announced today that Pioneer Natural Resources and Devon Energy will present at the ARC Advisory Group Industry Forum 2019 on their use of Seeq to improve business and production outcomes. Seeq applications build on machine learning and big data technologies to speed time to insight, sharing, and decision-making. The presentations will illustrate the benefits Seeq customers are realizing in the oil & gas, power, pharmaceutical, chemical, energy, mining, food and beverage, and other process industries.

ARC’s forum, the 23rd, attracts leading vendors, customers, and partners from across the automation industry. This year’s forum theme is Driving Digital Transformation in Industry and Cities, and focuses on how organizations can incorporate disruptive technologies to enable digital transformation. The ARC Industry Forum has been an important event for Seeq in recent years, featuring customer presentations and Seeq partnership announcements with Honeywell, Inductive Automation, Schneider Electric, Emerson Automation Solutions, and other vendors.

“We are pleased to have multiple customers presenting on their use of Seeq at ARC’s Industry Forum for the fourth year in a row,” says Steve Sliwa, co-founder and CEO of Seeq. “Seeq’s inclusion in sessions on getting value with diagnostic, descriptive, and predictive analytics demonstrates how our customers are improving manufacturing and business-related decisions.”

The sessions where Seeq customers will present include:

Transforming Data into Value will illustrate how manufacturers are solving problems with advanced analytics, data infrastructure, and digital transformation

  • Devon Koetter-Manson, Completions Engineer, Devon Energy
  • Moderator Janice Abel, Wednesday February 6, 10:30 AM

Analytics Rollout Best Practices will present customer insights on methods, tools, and experiences for the introduction of modern analytics software.

  • Zach Ferris, Senior Compression Advisor, Pioneer Natural Resources
  • Moderator Valentijn de Leeuw, Wednesday February 6, 10:30 AM

“Seeq continues to push the envelope of innovation and organizational impact with advanced analytics for process manufacturing companies,” observes Janice Abel, Principal Analyst at ARC Advisory Group. “Every year at ARC Industry Forum, Seeq’s customers impress us with their ability to rapidly find value in data to improve production and business outcomes.”

Seeq’s most recent release, R21, includes features for publishing analytics-based views to other employees to handle the increased complexity of their use cases. For publishing insights, Seeq has expanded “scorecards,” a feature for the display of calculated tables in Seeq Workbench and Organizer. Scorecards are used for tabulated metrics, measurements, and other summary data, and may be presented in tables with conditional formatting support and user-defined columns, for example roll-ups by batch or plant.

Seeq supports all leading data historians, making it the most widely accessible and extensively used advanced analytics solution in process manufacturing companies. Supported historians include the OSIsoft PI System, GE Proficy, AspenTech InfoPlus (IP) 21, Emerson DeltaV Continuous Historian and Ovation DCS Historian, Honeywell Uniformance PHD Historian, Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk Historian, Inductive Automation’s Ignition Historian, DataParc Historian, AVEVA’s Wonderware Historian, Citec SCADA, and eDNA Historian—with others in development. Seeq also announced in September 2018 the introduction of a SaaS offering on Microsoft Azure, and supports Siemens Mindsphere and Amazon AWS.

For training on the features of Seeq, the Seeq University channel on YouTube has videos describing the capabilities of Seeq. The latest information on Seeq participation in industry events is on the Seeq web site at seeq.com.
