HOUSTON – November 5, 2009 – MicroSeismic, Inc. (MSI), a leading geophysical service company providing 3-D passive seismic imaging for energy exploration and production, today announced that it has been named to 2009 Houston Fast Tech 50 list for the second consecutive year.

MicroSeismic, Inc. placed number 42 out of the top 50 companies in the FastTech 50 awards, which are presented to the 50 Houston-based high-tech businesses that experienced the greatest percentage of revenue growth in 2008. Top executives of the FastTech 50 were honored at the official awards luncheon, hosted by the Houston Business Journal, where the rankings were announced on November 4, 2009.

MicroSeismic, Inc. provides passive or microseismic monitoring, mapping and analysis services to the energy industry. Microseismic monitoring is the practice of listening to the seismic noise emitted from a reservoir in order to detect patterns of fluid movement, fracture development, compaction or faults in the subsurface.
