Gov. Ritter Names Venture Capital Investment Roundtable

Gov. Bill Ritter today named 21 Coloradans to a new Venture Capital Investment Advisory Committee to help attract financial support for several targeted and innovative Colorado industries, including aerospace, bioscience, clean energy and information communication technology.

Committee members will serve at the pleasure of the Governor and act as an advisory roundtable at the direction of the Colorado Office of Economic Development. Committee members are:

  • Travis L. Vallin of Watkins
  • Burke O. Fort of Golden
  • Joseph Crimando of Englewood
  • Richard C. Duke of Denver
  • Michael Artinger of Boulder
  • Susan M. Kunz of Boulder
  • Stephen S. Miller of Denver
  • Raymond R. Johnson of Denver
  • John J. LoPorto of Superior
  • Gregory M. Veltri of Highlands Ranch
  • Timothy S. Enwall of Boulder
  • Frank A. Traylor III of Littleton
  • James C.T. Linfield of Boulder
  • Dirk W. McDermott of Denver
  • Timothy H. Connor of Boulder
  • Victoria K. Hauser of Pueblo
  • Betty C. Arkell of Denver
  • David N. Allen of Superior
  • Timothy R. Reeser of Fort Collins
  • Paul E. Washington of Boulder
  • Ronald G. Rossi of Evergreen

Chris Shapard of Denver, Don Marostica of Loveland and Holli Baumunk of Littleton will serve as ex-officio, non-voting members.

"I established this advisory panel to build on our economy's strengths by assisting the state in attracting venture capital funding for Colorado's homegrown early-stage companies," Gov. Ritter said. "Growing the innovative aerospace, bioscience, renewable energy and information communication technology industries will help create jobs today and drive our economy forward for future."
